If you are ever wanted to have a go at origami but felt daunted by the pages of complex diagrams then this book might be ideal.  Aimed particularly at the younger crafter who enjoys sending secret notes and decorating school projects the author shows how fun and contemporary this ancient craft can be.

You dont of course have to still be at school to appreciate these projects.  You dont need much to get started either, not even origami paper as many items are made using other papers such as sticky notes and notepads.  Decorate your creations with pens, highlighters, stickers and string to make them your own, and have fun with other office supplies such as correction fluid and staplers.  This is a book filled with very clear diagrams, reminding me fondly of the Robert Harbin books I learned on as a child.  However, the addition of color and a larger format makes then even easier to follow as is the fact that everything in here is very simple no flapping birds, fish or figures.  Fold hearts, stars, birds, pandas (my favorite), rabbits, butterflies, ice cream cones, nail varnish bottles, Santa and many more.  Turn these into gift tags, decorations for cards, bookmarks, invitations and Christmas decorations or write secret notes inside.  There are pages of simple drawings at the back to inspire when you want to decorate your handiwork and lots of inspiring photographs showing various uses the folds can be put to.  This is an ideal book for anybody who wants to get started with origami and learn the basics while actually making something they can use.
