My family & I love it when we find painted rocks on our travels and have often said we should have a go. How hard can it be? But then we thought how do you prepare the stones, what sort of paint should we use & do we need varnish? Luckily this book answers all these questions & gives clear step-by-step instructions for plenty of cute animals. There are also galleries of designs to inspire & ideas for using the finished rock art.
The book has clear instructionds with helpful pictures, lots of inspiration and ideas for techniques I've never really considered before. I really love the idea of using two different sized pebbles to paint a mother a baby (koala), and then stacking them so they line up perfectly - very cute!
This book is great! Lots and lots of projects to choose from, tips for getting started, a list of what you'll need and straightforward step-by-step instructions. I particularly like the handy "project selector" (a pictorial contents page) so you can easily see all the designs and where to find them. My sons had a look through and excitedly declared they'd like to make them all! A fab resource for family fun!
This is an adorable project book. With a few rocks, paints or marker pens, you can create some wonderful 'pets'.
I adored the ladybird, but the lion the bee and the birds are just fantastic. This is a perfect rainy afternoon craft for kids, there is really no effort needed and it's so much fun.
Each of the 50 projects, have instructions that are simple to follow, and with a picture step by step, it is both educational and fun. There is a concise 'rock guide' to ensure you choose the ideal size, shape and type. There is also a list of things needed and some tips on how to get started.
This book would be amazing for small groups to get together and have some creative fun. It is just brilliant, and one I highly recommend.

This is a lovely book for adults and children. Both my children have enjoyed looking through it. My 6 year old couldnt wait to make the polar bear and the step-by-step instructions were really helpful. Shes quite impatient when it comes to crafting but seeing everything laid out really encouraged her. I made the sloth as its my favourite animal.
