A really useful soft back book showing step by step simple illustrations to drawing different dragons. Each step is illustrated by use of a sepia coloured pencil and new steps are in violet so that it is very easy to distinguish which part needs to be drawn next. There are several simple steps from first outline to the completed dragon, varying with the complexity of the animal. The first dragons only require 5-7 steps and having gained competence doing these it will then be simple following Paul's technique to draw the very complex dragons illustrated at the end of the book.

Having drawn the dragons they can be coloured with paints, crayons or scanned into a PC and coloured digitally. A myriad of different creatures can be created from these simple steps.

A super book for those interested in fantasy art and it would also be of great appeal to children, the steps being clear enough for them to create fabulous artworks. This book would make a great partner to Paul's book Dragons in Watercolour.
