Love the 20 to make series, especially the knit and crochet ones. Couldn't wait to receive this one. A great assortment of easy to make patterns, love the fact that the body and legs are knitted in one. Each project uses small amounts of yarn, so great for using up odd balls. Didn't have any fleecy dk, so just used normal dk, pets looked just as cute. Particularly like the Penguin, currently making the Robin, never too early to start for Christmas. Not so keen on the bunny, but that's probably my fault, mine looks more like a lamb, but is still cute! Would definitely recommend if wanting quick, easy and very cute toys for very little cost.

Customer review

The '20 to' series are great value for money and I have knitted patterns from this designer before so I had high hopes for this book. I wasn't disappointed, all the designs are lovely and only use small amounts of yarn. I had some white fleecy yarn left from a previous project so I had a go at making a mouse. The pattern was really easy to follow and my son is very pleased with his new pocket pet. I think knitters of all abilities will enjoy this book, although complete beginners might want to practice with the fleecy yarn first as it can be a little trickier to see the stitches.

Customer review

This book is great for knitters who like making small pets.

Customer review

This lovely book will be very useful for making small gifts and items for sales tables. I look forward to trying these designs with primary school children who I have been teaching to knit on a voluntary basis since 2011. I may need to adapt the wool because I suspect the fleece yarn might be difficult for the children to need. I intend to try out the designs ASAP.

Customer review

What a great book. The instructions are really clear and the animals are so cute. They will be great for our craft group as they can be done in a session and the grandkids will love them too. Sachiyo Ishii does great designs. Thank you to her and search Press for another amazing book.

Postcard Reviews

These wonderful books are just crammed with projects that any animal fan will love. Cats, Chicks, Fox, and a fabulous Otter are just some of the creations designed by the brilliant Sachiyo Ishii.

The amount of information that comes with the book is amazing and ensures that any knitter, no matter what your ability will be able to make any project from this book. I loved them all, although being a cat fan that had to be my first project.

The designs are small, standing just 6in tall, depending on the pet, and the best thing is, that you can use your scrap stash to make them. They all use just a small amount of yarn.

With full instructions and a complete abbreviation guide, Pocket Pets is set out perfectly. There are descriptions for adding beads, embroidery ideas and more than a few techniques to get the best from your knitting.

This is a wonderful book. I absolutely adored it.
