About Jacqui Pearce

Jacqui Pearce writes a monthly trend column for Cross Stitcher magazine. She also runs two flourishing online ventures: craft line JacquiP (www.jacquip.co.uk) and award-winning international lifestyle business Pearl and Earl (www.pearlandearl.com). Jacqui has collaborated with Dame Jacqueline Wilson on a craft commission, launched in 2011, and has a limited edition collection in Liberty of London. Jacqui studied textiles at Manchester University, where she won a scholarship with ICI to teach fashion textiles in Australia. She spent over 13 years working in the British fashion world as a buyer, design director and trend tracker, and still has a prestigious list of consulting clients. In 2003 she moved to West Sussex, England, launching her first business venture and design agency.

Jacqui Pearce is one of the UKs most popular needlepoint designers and her latest book, Supersize Stitches takes her designs to whole new level!

One of the frustrations about my beloved cross stitch is that it takes so long to create anything of a decent size. In this book Jacqui takes the leap and scales the work up to the territory of quick wins with big stitches.

Her designs are bold and simple, with a contemporary feel that will make you keen to have a go.

Filled with simple instructions and big pictures, this book is an easy-to-use project book for stitchers at any level. The designs could always be scaled down to make mini versions for people who are just beginning to stitch and maybe overwhelmed with the size of fabric, so theres lots of scope.

If you want some quick satisfaction in producing contemporary stitchy items, this book is worth a look.
