While a rug is an easy way to add warmth and character to a room, knitting one might seem daunting. But American sisters Nola and Linda have been creating rugs throughout their professional lives. In their new book, they show all the techniques you'll need, from appliqué to dyeing and from crossover techniques to using recycled materials. And they use their original designs to show just how much fun rug-making can be. There are rugs inspired by Mondrian and Picasso, love heart rugs, rugs that look like a swim in a tropical sea rugs with letters and even a rug that looks like a brick wall. Each one is achievable project, even for the beginner. And each one is a project you'll be excited to take on.
