Kotomi Hayashi has been knitting since childhood, and has a passion for incorporating knitting techniques from around the world. She began designing children's clothing after the birth of her first child. After serving as a craft book editor for many years, she started writing her own books on topics such as openwork knitting, Scandinavian-style knitting, and sock making, and she's been at it for over 20 years.
